Qualifications

Job description

Reporting to the Product Manager, you will perform laboratory evaluation and analysis of Food and Pharmaceutical samples to ensure compliance with international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with a team of chemists and technical executives to conduct laboratory evaluation and analysis of food and pharmaceutical samples
  • Develop competencies and maintain currency in food and pharmaceutical testing and analytical instrumentation
  • Review test data and prepare test/verification/validation reports
  • Verify, validate and/or perform method transfer of analytical methods
  • Interface with customers on sample submissions, job status as well as their enquiries and quotations
  • Oversee the proper upkeep of the laboratory and maintenance/qualification of analytical instruments
  • Commit and participate in laboratory quality assurance and workplace safety activities to ensure compliance to quality and safety requirements
  • Any other duties assigned by the manager and management team

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or its equivalent with preferably 1 year of hands-on working experience in laboratory
  • Experience in operating HPLC, GC, LC-MS/MS and UV-Vis spectrophotometer preferred
  • Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and cGMP quality management system is advantageous
  • Good communicator and team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Good problem-solving skills with attention to details
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Enthusiastic and resourceful with a “can-do” attitude
