Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Product/Systems are released in a timely manner:

    • a) Monitor and ensure that periodic tests are carried out.
    • b) Review and ensure equipment and material availability.
    • c) Review Extra Ordinary Maintenance (EOM) and recommend required monitoring/evaluation requirements.
    • d) Ensure proper scheduling and staffing of processes to complete the tests and that products are tested per requirements.
  2. Results of analysis are accurate and reliable:

    • a) Ensure equipment/rooms are calibrated and/or validated, and procedures are documented and validated if necessary.
    • b) Review training/coaching requirements for Lab Analysts and evaluate their performance.
    • c) Ensure proper documentation for activities is maintained.
  3. Exceptions are resolved in a timely manner:

    • a) Perform Lab Out-of-Limit (OOL) investigations and ensure documentation is completed timely.
    • b) Analyze test OOLs, provide disposition, and review results with process owners and engineers.
    • c) Assist/recommend Corrective Action/Preventive Actions (CAPA) and continuous improvement ideas.
    • d) Follow-up to ensure actions are implemented and effective.
    • e) Prepare Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and investigate Out of Tolerance (OOT) issues related to calibration.
  4. Support projects requiring microbiological/chemical evaluation:

    • a) Participate in project groups within assigned areas.
    • b) Provide recommendations on microbiological evaluation requirements.
    • c) Schedule and perform microbiological/chemical tests and reviews with corporate teams.
  5. Lead assigned projects:

    • a) Define project requirements, assign responsibilities, and set timelines.
    • b) Collect and review feedback, and ensure project completion.
  6. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment:

    • a) Review housekeeping schedules and conduct audits.
    • b) Communicate safety and housekeeping practices and recommend improvements.
  7. Ensure compliance with EHS procedures and requirements.

Qualifications/Education:

  • Diploma/Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field, or equivalent.

Skill Set and/or Experience:

  • Fresh graduate with a minimum of 3 years' experience, or
  • Degree holder with a minimum of 3 years' experience, or
  • Diploma holder with a minimum of 6 years' experience.

Relevant working experience and technical knowledge of lab equipment, systems, software, and validations are preferred.
