Argus Media in Singapore is seeking a driven market analyst/reporter to join our editorial team and cover the chemicals markets. You will write engaging market intelligence and analyse timely, accurate prices for our clients, building a robust network of industry contacts.

You will collaborate with reporters and editors, travel to conferences, and lead webinar sessions. The role offers a hybrid work model after probation and requires strong English, curiosity, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• An articulate graduate with a strong degree.
• Ability to develop, verify and write industry-relevant news/content to deadline.
• Experience in financial or commodities journalism is beneficial but optional.
• Interest in commodities, energy markets, global business, politics and economics.
• Experience delivering breaking news, insightful market reports, and in-depth analytical articles is a bonus.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite with Excel.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to network and build contacts with industry executives.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and assess fast-moving markets to produce price assessments, intelligence, market commentaries, news, analysis and reports.
• Proactively generate news leads and pitch stories, contribute copy to publications and online news service.
• Contribute to unique content (blogs, white papers, webinars, podcasts).
• Engage with the industry to understand market developments and ensure methodology remains relevant.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance and drive coverage.
• Attend meetings, conferences and industry events to build contacts and represent Argus.
