Chemical Process Technician / Service Engineer - Entry / Engineering Studies

CHEMICAL PROCESS TECHNICIAN - 12 HOURS ROTATING SHIFT X 2 VACANCIES

LOCATION : JURONG ISLAND - TRANSPORT PROVIDED

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance to statutory and corporate requirements related to safety and HSE issues.

• Ensure that plant is at optimum operating conditions at all times.

• Do periodic checking by plant patrol, in order to maintain high plant reliability so that production targets are achieved with minimum production downtime.

• Handle sampling and in-process QC analysis.

• Preparation of master batch sub-raw materials as per production requirements.

• Assist Shift Superintendent in taking prompt and appropriate measures, where necessary, during plant emergencies

• Perform simple maintenance on plant equipment, if necessary.

• Provide support to other sections where necessary, e.g. Technical, Distribution, Sales, in daily plant operations or commissioning of new product grades.

• Perform Emergency Response Team work during emergencies.

• To take care of housekeeping of the plant.

Requirements:

• GCE 'O' Level / NITEC or Diploma in Chemical Engineering/ Chemical Process Technology / Engineering related

• Must be able to work on 12-hours rotating shifts

• Working hours: 8am to 8pm & 8pm to 8am

SERVICE ENGINEER - LAB & SCIENTIFIC EQUIPMENT - OFFICE HOURS

LOCATION : CLEMENTI

What you'll be doing

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and repair services on a variety of laboratory and scientific equipment

• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, and implement appropriate corrective actions

• Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements

• Maintain detailed records of all service activities and equipment performance

• Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations

• Provide training and support to customers on the proper use of equipment

• Collaborate with the wider team to continuously improve service delivery

What we're looking for

• Relevant technical certification or diploma in electronics, scientific or engineering discipline

• Ideally with 1-3 years of experience in a similar service engineer or technician role

• Entry level also welcomes to apply - training will be provided

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively

• Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills

• Proficiency in using computer-based maintenance management systems and diagnostic tools

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and equipment

• Possess a valid class 3 driving license
