Job summary
Baker Hughes in Singapore is seeking a Production Technician (Chemical) to support our on-site chemical manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient processing of batch chemicals, handling hazardous materials, and following SOP and ISO procedures to ensure reliable plant performance.
The role requires a background in chemical plant operations, knowledge of reactors, blenders, tank farms, SIS experience, and forklift operation.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of basic chemical manufacturing processes and safety policies.
- Experience with batch processing chemical plants.
- Familiarity with ABB 800xA or similar automation systems.
- Experience with Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and hazard communication.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes and safety policies.
- Operate reactors, blenders, tank farms, and utilities, following SOP/ISO procedures.
- Collaborate with Technical staff in control room to ensure smooth operation.
- Coordinate loading/unloading and waste handling per environmental rules.
- Perform routine plant maintenance and inspections to maintain standards.
