Chef (Indian and Western Cuisine)

Salary: 4600 to 9000

Responsibilities:

  1. Preparation of food & Mise-en-place
  2. Cooking and ensuring food is served as per requirements
  3. Ad-hoc duties as assigned
  4. Overall responsibility for the kitchen’s daily operations
  5. Liaising with suppliers for food orders
  6. Creating new dishes and menus
  7. Interviewing and hiring new staff
  8. Maintaining and improving food profit margins
  9. Monitoring and controlling stock levels
  10. Ensuring proper stock rotation
  11. Implementing health and safety procedures
  12. Estimating costs and managing budgets
  13. Managing kitchen accounts and staff scheduling

Requirements:

  1. Diploma in Culinary Arts with 5 years' experience in a similar role
  2. 6 to 10 years' experience in Indian, Mexican, Arabic, and Western cuisines
  3. Impeccable service standards, attention to detail, and clean work habits
  4. Ability to multi-task in a high-volume kitchen while maintaining composure and a sense of humor
  5. Flexible working hours, 5 to 6 days per week, 8 to 11 hours per day
