Chef (Indian and Western Cuisine)
Salary: 4600 to 9000
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of food & Mise-en-place
- Cooking and ensuring food is served as per requirements
- Ad-hoc duties as assigned
- Overall responsibility for the kitchen’s daily operations
- Liaising with suppliers for food orders
- Creating new dishes and menus
- Interviewing and hiring new staff
- Maintaining and improving food profit margins
- Monitoring and controlling stock levels
- Ensuring proper stock rotation
- Implementing health and safety procedures
- Estimating costs and managing budgets
- Managing kitchen accounts and staff scheduling
Requirements:
- Diploma in Culinary Arts with 5 years' experience in a similar role
- 6 to 10 years' experience in Indian, Mexican, Arabic, and Western cuisines
- Impeccable service standards, attention to detail, and clean work habits
- Ability to multi-task in a high-volume kitchen while maintaining composure and a sense of humor
- Flexible working hours, 5 to 6 days per week, 8 to 11 hours per day
