Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and production of all pastry items, including cakes, cookies, tarts, and other desserts for all our outlets.
  • Collaborate with the Pastry leaders to develop new recipes and menu items.
  • Ensure all pastry items are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation, following the recipes and guidelines provided by the pastry leaders.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of pastry ingredients and supplies, ensuring timely ordering and minimal waste.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and food safety standards.
  • Assist in training and supervising junior pastry staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Occasionally interact with guests to gather feedback and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in the preparation of pastries for special events and functions within the club.

Requirements:

  • Certificate from a recognized culinary institution or an appropriate amount of progressive work experience to waive academic qualifications.
  • Minimum of 6 (Six) years with progressive positions from Cook I in varying cuisine’s in comparable operations.
  • Strong culinary knowledge on Western pastries with emphasis on American and basic knowledge on Asian cuisine (Only apply for Asian cuisine position) and influences.
