Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CDP or Demi Chef in Western cuisine.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.

- Ensure mise en place is completed accurately.
- Maintain proper portion control and reduce food wastage.
- Train and guide junior kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute Western cuisine dishes with consistent quality and excellent presentation standards.
- Ensure mise en place is completed accurately and on time before operating hours.
- Maintain proper portion control, stock rotation and reduce food wastage.
- Assist Head Chef to maintain consistency in taste and presentation.
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness, food hygiene and safety standards are strictly adhered to safety protocol (e.g., HACCP).
- Train and guide junior kitchen staff.
- Assist head chef on new menu items and contribute ideas for improvement.
- Report any kitchen equipment maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organised workstation at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CDP or Demi Chef in Western cuisine (e.g., bistro, steakhouse, Italian, modern European).
- Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills.
- Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
- Possess a valid food hygiene certificate.
