Position Overview

Job Title: Chef (North Indian Cuisine Specialist)

Location: Bukit Timah, Singapore

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary: 3,000−4,000 - per month (plus overtime opportunities)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate North Indian Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in preparing authentic North Indian delicacies and a deep understanding of traditional cooking techniques and flavors.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare authentic North Indian dishes including soups, appetizers, curries, and Indian Chinese cuisine

• Operate tandoor equipment and prepare tandoor specialties

• Create traditional Indian sweets and desserts

• Develop and introduce new dishes as "specials of the week"

• Review and revise existing menu items to enhance customer satisfaction

Kitchen Operations

• Maintain high standards of food quality using natural spices and healthy ingredients

• Monitor and manage inventory of groceries, vegetables, and meat

• Place orders for kitchen supplies as needed

•I mplement effective planning to minimize food wastage

• Ensure kitchen cleanliness and compliance with SFA & NEA regulations

Team Collaboration

• Work well with service staff

• Maintain excellent team spirit and communication

• Support kitchen operations during peak hours

Requirements

Experience & Expertise

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience as a North Indian Chef

• Comprehensive knowledge of authentic North Indian recipes and cooking techniques

• Proven experience in preparing Indian soups, appetizers, curries, and Indian Chinese dishes

• Tandoor cooking experience is preferred

Skills & Competencies

• Fluency in English and Hindi (spoken and written)

• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

• Experience with HACCP protocols

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Creative approach to menu development and recipe innovation
