Chef (Chinese/Western Cuisine)
Salary: $3000 – $3500
Location: Island Wide
Working Hours: 12 hours
Job Summary:
- Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese and/or Western dishes according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
- Ensure food quality, freshness, taste and presentation meet company standards
- Manage kitchen operations including inventory, food cost control, and hygiene compliance
- Supervise kitchen staff, provide training and delegate tasks efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen according to food safety standards
- Assist in creating and updating menus and daily specials based on seasonal availability and trends
- Monitor and manage food supplies to minimize wastage and ensure cost efficiency
- Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service operations
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations
Requirements:
- 1-2 years Experience as a Chef or Cook in Chinese and/or Western cuisine
- Culinary diploma or equivalent professional certification is required
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage a team under pressure
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Flexible to work on weekends, public holidays and shifts
- Passionate about cooking and innovation in the culinary field
