The role involves end-to-end chartering support for the trading division, encompassing the sourcing of appropriate vessels, negotiating competitive freight rates, optimizing fleet utilization, and mitigating chartering-related risks. Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and secure suitable vessels at competitive freight rates, supporting export routes and fleet optimization.
  • Manage charter party negotiations, fixture execution, and post-fixture operations.
  • Handle shipment-related claims such as demurrage and disputes to minimize financial impact.
  • Collaborate closely with trading and shipping teams to maximize vessel utilization and reduce voyage costs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, shipowners, brokers, and other stakeholders to support business growth.
  • Provide support for domestic fleet deployment when required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Business, or related fields
  • 3-5 years of chartering or shipping operations experience, preferably in liquid bulk or chemical sectors
  • Strong knowledge of charter party agreements, freight markets, and shipping logistics
  • Proven negotiation skills and experience managing demurrage and claims
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in shipping software and MS Office
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally
