About the Company

Our Client is a leading shipping and logistics company.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Chartering Manager to oversee vessel deployment and commercial optimization efforts for the assigned region, and be responsible for identifying opportunities, negotiating contracts, and maximizing fleet performance.

• Develop and execute chartering strategies for vessels operating in the assigned trade routes;
  
• Identify market opportunities and secure charter agreements that align with commercial goals;
  
• Monitor freight trends, vessel positions, and regional supply-demand dynamics;
  
• Foster strong working relationships with market participants, including brokers, partners, and counterparties;
  
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure efficient vessel allocation and smooth operational execution;
  
• Provide commercial input and support for decision-making through analysis market intelligence;
  
• Review chartering performance and recommend improvements;
  
• Ensure contractual compliance and alignment with internal guidelines and regulatory standards;
  
• Contribute to cross-functional collaboration on activities such as planning, operations, documentation, and financial tracking.
  

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in maritime studies or any other relevant discipline would be an advantage;
  
• At least 5 to 8 years of experience in chartering, with strong understanding of vessel types and trade routes;
  
• Excellent negotiation skills and proven track record in clinching deals;
  
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment;
  
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage different levels of stakeholders;
  
• Ability to multi-task and manage different timelines.
