What To Expect

Tesla is seeking an excellent Charging Developer who can autonomously lead Tesla’s charging programs, including discovering new charging locations, conducting diligence, negotiating, deploying, and managing ongoing relationships.

The ideal candidate will proactively create opportunities, adapt to external factors and internal guidance, manage multiple projects, and build and nurture relationships. This role requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of projects and the organization. There will be opportunities for career growth based on performance and interest.

The ideal candidate possesses strong personal drive, commercial and project management skills, curiosity, and creativity to advance business and customer experience. You should be a natural people person capable of influencing cross-functional teams, delivering results, and motivating stakeholders.

You should have high standards, self-belief, and the resilience to work through ambiguity and in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Prior work experience should have prepared you to be autonomous and ready to contribute immediately.

What You'll Do
  1. Develop and manage a pipeline of new charging site development opportunities for current and future Tesla owners.
  2. Build and maintain relationships with key external and internal stakeholders.
  3. Ensure timely deployment of charging sites by coordinating with installers, suppliers, and site hosts.
  4. Assist with deployment strategy, location selection, and feasibility analyses.
  5. Develop and refine proposals with property owners, government agencies, and partners; negotiate and close deals.
  6. Collaborate with stakeholders to improve customer experience, cost efficiency, and timelines.
  7. Manage onboarding, training, and selection of installers for charging sites in India and beyond.
  8. Work with legal counsel to draft, negotiate, and finalize site host agreements.

  10. Background in electrical engineering or project management in a startup environment is highly preferred.
