A leading company in the FMCG sector seeks a Trade Marketing Manager to design and execute channel strategies that align with business objectives. The role involves close collaboration with teams to develop marketing plans and track in-store promotions, requiring strong analytical and project management skills.
Job Summary
To support the function lead to Design, Develop and Execute Trade Marketing Strategies and Annual Commercial & Channel Plans to achieve defined business objectives for assigned channels. Lead in the deployment of assigned channel plans working in close collaboration with market planning, activation and franchise teams, channel & field sales teams, striving towards execution excellence in trade and achievement of market objectives.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
Develop annual Marketing Plan & Calendar for assigned channels and major retailers/trade customers.
Work closely with respective Sales Managers (General Trade/Modern Trade/On Premise) to obtain alignment on Marketing Plan & Calendar as well as activities and promotions.
Supervise the formulation of initiatives; plan, organize and implement consumer & trade promotions as well as marketing activities such as sampling and on-ground store activations.
Work in collaboration with channel teams and market planning teams to develop and deploy appropriate POSM materials.
Source for premiums & prizes for promotions as well as develop & produce supporting collaterals
Develop PICOs/Execution Standards for assigned channels according to windows and each new product launch.
Track, monitor & share status of in-store activation of promotions, POSM, equipment placement, marketing activities & new launches
Conduct post-promotion analysis to identify and understand what works and didn’t work.
Track & monitor spend to ensure expenditure is within budget.
Work collaboratively with CCEFL to ensure adherence to brand guidelines for promotions & collaterals.
Fully leverage on new product launches, national consumer promotions, proprietary assets/events to drive business for the respective channels (General Trade/Modern Trade/On Premise)
Track & analyze business & brand performance for each channel & major retailers/trade customers. Identify opportunities and develop & implement plans to capitalize on them. Develop & implement corrective actions if necessary to ensure objectives & targets are on track
Track & monitor competitors’ activities in each channel and ascertain possible impact on our business. To recommend corrective actions if needed.
Set Performance KPIs & Performance expectations for Trade Marketing team under his/her care with the objectives of achieving set objectives of the year. Drive, guide/coach, engage, reward and develop team towards increased productivity, professional growth and Career Path Development of Trade Marketing team.
Qualification Criteria
Bachelor’s Degree related to Business studies
At least 3-5 years of experience in Business Dev, Key Account, General Trade, Sales experience in FMCG Sector
