About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and commercially minded CFO to work closely with the CEO and Board. This senior finance leader will drive capital strategy, oversee fund and corporate finance, and scale finance operations to support ambitious regional expansion. The role will also involve guiding major corporate decisions, implementing financial plans, and ensuring compliance across jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Management & Planning
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Perform strategic financial analysis to review performance and identify initiatives to enhance business outcomes.
- Support business development and investment decision-making, ensuring maximum project returns.
- Lead finance for fundraising, due diligence, investor reporting, and LP engagement.
- Prepare and manage annual strategic and operational financial plans, including monthly and quarterly reviews.
- Act as primary liaison to the Audit & Risk Committee, providing timely and accurate financial insights.
- Financial Reporting & Controls
- Oversee internal and external reporting to ensure consistency, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Manage accounting, tax, and treasury matters, leveraging internal and external advisors as needed.
- Drive digitalization and automation of finance processes, including ERP upgrades.
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls and review processes for projects.
- Ensure ESG financial disclosure and alignment with global reporting standards.
- Fund Finance
- Oversee the establishment of new funds and vehicles, ensuring optimal structures and governance.
- Manage capital calls, distributions, and fund-level liquidity, including credit facilities.
- Ensure accurate and timely LP reporting, acting as a key counterpart for investor queries.
- Oversee AuM, NAV, and fund performance calculations.
- Ensure compliance with partnership agreements, regulatory requirements, and audits.
- Capital Structure, Treasury & Investor Relations
- Optimize capital structure to support business and fund growth.
- Manage treasury operations, including cash flow, bonding capacity, and liquidity frameworks.
- Support debt and equity capital raising activities and institutional-standard investor reporting.
- Risk & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with financial, tax, and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.
- Implement risk management strategies to inform decision-making.
- Oversee enterprise risk management frameworks for financial, operational, and governance risks.
- Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, with focus on succession planning and capability building.
- Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture aligned with organizational strategy.
- Collaborate across business segments to align financial and operational priorities.
- Own accountability for team outcomes and key deadlines.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; professional qualification such as CFA, CA, or CPA.
- 15+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally as CFO or Deputy CFO.
- Experience in real estate businesses providing investment management services to institutional investors across multiple markets in Asia, and exposure to third-party construction management.
- Experience in high-growth or private equity-backed environments.
- Strong knowledge of financial software, analytics, and international tax issues.
