The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of medical coding systems, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS, and will ensure the accuracy and consistency of medical codes across our healthcare data systems. This role is crucial in supporting the normalization of medical coding for Trove Healths AI-driven healthcare solutions.Key Responsibilities: Review and code medical records and documentation using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. Work closely with healthcare providers, clinical staff, and data management teams to clarify any discrepancies in medical documentation. Assist in developing and implementing coding guidelines and best practices for Trove Healths AI solutions. Collaborate with the AI development team to optimize the integration of normalized medical codes into the Trident AI platform. Conduct regular audits of coded data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards. Stay updated with the latest coding guidelines, industry changes, and regulatory requirements. Provide training and support to clinical and administrative staff on accurate coding practices and using Trove Healths systems. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of medical coding processes.Qualifications: Certification: Must hold a current Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification from AAPC. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical coding with expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems. Technical Skills: Proficient in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and coding software. Familiarity with AI-driven healthcare solutions is a plus. Knowledge: In-depth understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, with a strong ability to translate this knowledge into accurate coding. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure coding accuracy and compliance.
