Job description

Experience: 5+ years in sustainability and organic certification

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Certification Manager to lead and manage all certification activities related to NOP (USDA Organic), NPOP (India Organic), GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), and OCS (Organic Content Standard). The ideal candidate will ensure full compliance, maintain robust documentation, and support the traceability and transparency of certified products across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage end-to-end certification processes for NOP, NPOP, GOTS, and OCS, ensuring all operations meet the latest standard requirements and audit protocols.
  2. Coordinate with certification bodies for audits and inspections. Prepare documentation, lead onsite visits, and address non-conformities with effective corrective actions.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including supplier certifications, transaction certificates (TCs), process flow charts, and product traceability data.
  4. Conduct regular internal audits, identify compliance gaps, and drive continual improvement across certified processes and partners.
  5. Monitor and assess suppliers and subcontractors to ensure their alignment with applicable certification standards.
  6. Educate internal teams and external partners on certification requirements, process updates, and best practices related to sustainable sourcing.
  7. Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and certification bodies, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Textile Technology, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in managing NOP, NPOP, GOTS, and OCS certifications.
  • Strong understanding of organic and sustainability standards and traceability requirements.
  • Experience in audit handling, compliance documentation, and supply chain management.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and training skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and certification-related digital tools.
