IKC seeks a Centre Manager / Nurse Manager to lead the nursing and administrative team in delivering safe, patient-centred haemodialysis care while ensuring MOH licensing and IKC standards.
The role covers clinical governance, centre operations, people management, training and development, patient services and stakeholder engagement, with a focus on quality, safety and operational excellence.
The Centre Manager / Nurse Manager is responsible for the safe, effective and efficient running of the IKC dialysis centre. The role leads the nursing and administrative team to deliver quality, patient-centred haemodialysis care. It also ensures compliance with MOH licensing requirements and IKC's clinical and operational standards.
Implement and uphold IKC's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), clinical policies and protocols, and review them periodically with the Assistant Director, Healthcare Services and the Medical Director.
Ensure strict compliance with infection prevention and control practices, and conduct regular audits of infection control, water quality and equipment safety.
Monitor clinical quality indicators and drive improvement initiatives with the Senior Nurse Clinician and Nephrologist.
Oversee incident reporting, investigation and follow-up, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Manage day-to-day operations of the centre, including patient scheduling, treatment capacity and workflow.
Ensure the centre maintains its MOH licence under the Healthcare Services Act (HCSA) and is ready for inspections, audits and accreditation reviews at all times.
Implement and test the centre's Business Continuity Plan and emergency response procedures, including medical emergencies, fire drills and service disruptions.
Coordinate with vendors on equipment maintenance, consumables and facility matters.
Ensure accurate and secure patient records in line with PDPA and IKC's data policies.
Lead, supervise and support the nursing and administrative staff at the centre.
Plan manpower requirements and staff rosters to ensure safe staffing levels.
Participate in recruitment, onboarding and confirmation of nursing and administrative staff.
Conduct performance appraisals, provide regular feedback and address staff performance or conduct issues together with People & Culture.
Maintain and update work instructions and job descriptions for centre roles as needed.
Identify training needs and plan the centre's annual training programme for nursing staff, in line with IKC's training roadmap.
Conduct in-house clinical training and competency assessments.
Track staff attendance at external courses and follow up on post-training application.
Ensure nursing staff maintain valid SNB registration, practising certificates and mandatory certifications (e.g. BCLS).
Manage patient admissions and referrals, working with hospitals, medical social workers and other referral partners.
Promote a patient-centred environment, and handle patient and family feedback and complaints promptly and professionally.
Build and maintain effective relationships with MOH, restructured hospitals, community partners and other stakeholders.
Manage the centre's operating budget, monitor expenditure and identify cost-containment opportunities without compromising care quality.
Provide input on procurement of equipment, consumables and services in accordance with MTFA's procurement policies.
Raise IT and system needs, and follow up on their resolution with the relevant teams.
Prepare regular operational, clinical and financial reports for management.
Advise the Assistant Director, Healthcare Services and the IKC Management Committee on significant operational, clinical and risk matters.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the IKC Management Committee and the CEO.
Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board and a valid Practising Certificate
Post-basic qualification in Renal / Nephrology Nursing preferred
At least 5 years of haemodialysis nursing experience, including 2 years in a supervisory or management role
Sound knowledge of HCSA and MOH regulatory requirements for dialysis centres
Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
Official Working Hours: Based on approved roster.
Official Workplace: The incumbent may be deployed to any IKC centre based on operational needs.
