Job description

Purpose of Job

  • To manage social service programmes and oversee the daily activities and duties at Wellness Community in response to society needs.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Drive social service programme strategies
  • Oversee execution of social service programmes
  • Manage community outreach and stakeholder network
  • Manage personnel and compliance

Scope

Drive social service programme strategies:

  • Plan and develop strategic organisational direction for Shan You Wellness Community, not limited to:
  • Shan You Food Rations Distribution programme
  • Shan You Free Meals programme
  • Daily programmes & activities

Oversee execution of social service programmes:

  • Oversee all the social services programmes.
  • Manage resource allocation, duty roster and track participation.
  • Supervise volunteers and monitor their service quality.
  • Prepare content for publicity materials.
  • Evaluate service outcome and social impact of Shan You Wellness Community.
  • Maintain proper record and clear filing of work.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting for monthly, annual and ad-hoc requests.

Manage community outreach and stakeholder network:

  • Plan and organise outreach activities, projects and events.
  • Handle CIP (Community Involvement Programme) and CSO (Community Service Order).
  • Network with stakeholders, community partners, social and welfare service agencies.
  • Raise funds by sourcing for sponsorships and donations from individuals and corporate.

Manage personnel and compliance:

  • Build a strong team that is committed to providing good service programmes.
  • Comply with best practices and other relevant guidelines.
  • Comply with the Centre’s code of conduct, policies and procedures.
  • Contribute towards building a clean, green and cost-saving organisation.
  • Perform any other duties as directed.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in centre management.
  • Training in leadership, supervision and planning preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

  • Must possess excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Possess problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Able to plan for and keep track of multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Passionate about working with stakeholders and possess good interpersonal skills.
  • Willing to learn and be guided.
  • Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
