Centre Director is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the school on a daily basis. The Centre Director leads the team of teaching staff in promoting the programme and curriculum, and is responsible for ensuring optimal learning outcomes for children. As the head of the school, the Centre Director actively advocates for optimal learning and meaningful 21st-century pedagogies. She is committed to maintaining the brand image of the school and the professional image of the staff. Additionally, the Centre Director builds sustainable partnerships with parents, families, and community partners.

The Centre Director has:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree, ideally a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education
  • Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with staff, professionals, parents, families, and community partners from diverse backgrounds
  • 10 years of experience in early childhood education, including management and leadership roles

Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Reporting to the Director of School
  • Overseeing all aspects of the programme, operations, business, estate management, curriculum, administration, staff management, training, event management, enrolment, marketing, advocacy, and networking
  • Leading curriculum development and ensuring quality standards through monitoring planning, teaching, evaluation, and assessment; ensuring resources support teaching and learning
  • Maintaining operational excellence in health, hygiene, safety, and compliance with licensing standards
  • Managing staff welfare, benefits, team building, and professional development
  • Managing enrolment, budgets, and achieving financial targets; promoting the programme for enrolment growth
  • Building parent-school relationships through trust and collaboration; acting as a liaison for communication and engagement
  • Supporting innovation through piloting new curriculum strategies and action research
  • Monitoring curriculum outcomes and children’s performance, managing assessment processes
  • Serving as an Odyssey brand ambassador; promoting the school through advocacy, events, and parent education programs
