Position: Centre Assistant @ Yishun/AMK/Woodlands
Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the safety, hygiene, training, caring, and overall well-being of trainees in the Training & Development Centre, reporting to the Head of Centre.
  2. Collaborate with the Assistant Training Officer to assist Training Officers in daily operations.
  3. Assist in executing and implementing Individual Training Programmes (ITPs) under supervision.
  4. Participate in continuous assessment, training, and evaluation of trainees' holistic development.
  5. Work with families to implement trainees' ITPs.
  6. Implement and monitor safety and security procedures for trainees.
  7. Record and maintain information related to trainees, including communications with caregivers and behavioral incidents.
  8. Report incidents or critical occurrences involving trainees.
  9. Monitor the physiological and psychological well-being of trainees.
  10. Assist in conducting group activities and pre-vocational training.
  11. Maintain good communication with parents and caregivers.
  12. Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
  13. Assist in evaluating and assessing pre-vocational training programmes.
  14. Support internal and external events, activities, and volunteer development programs.
  15. Handle minor repairs, report major repairs, and maintain the physical environment of the Centre.
  16. Ensure safety protocols are followed, including fire drills and security checks.
  17. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards, including meal preparations and inventory control.
  18. Coordinate health programs and ensure timely updates on health and safety issues.
  19. Represent the Centre in sports and community activities.
  20. Organize festivals, annual camps, and client events, including budget proposals.
  21. Participate in IT-related meetings, report faults, and assist in training staff on IT equipment.
  22. Ensure the safety of clients during transportation and handle case referrals and reviews accurately.
  23. Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Centre.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Secondary Education or relevant courses such as Employability Skills (ES-WPLN).
Other Information
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Passion for working with people with intellectual disabilities.
