Job Description

As a Central Trader, you will be at the forefront of structuring and trading OTC derivative solutions. This role demands a deep understanding of financial markets and the ability to develop and structure complex trading strategies. You will be responsible for managing risk, assisting and collaborating with a global sales team and supporting in post-trade client services.

Structuring and Trading OTC Derivative Solutions: (60%)

• Develop and trade a variety of OTC derivative solutions, including swaps, vanilla look-alikes, exotic options (e.g., barriers, digitals), and correlation products (calendar, cross-commodity, commodity/FX, etc.).
• Design and implement innovative trading strategies that align with the company's risk management framework and regulatory requirements.

Multi-Commodity Exposure and Collaboration: (20%)

• Gain exposure to multi-commodities within the agricultural complex, leveraging market insights to enhance trading strategies.
• Collaborate with a global sales team to integrate trading strategies and ensure effective risk management.
• Provide direct collaboration over the post-trade Client Services department to ensure high-quality service delivery and client satisfaction.
• Support key projects in collaboration with cross-departmental teams and external consultants.

Compliance and Risk Management: (10%)

• Assist in execution of trades, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external regulations.
• Manage risk associated with trading activities by implementing robust risk management practices and tools.

Development and Maintenance of Supporting Tools: (10%)

• Develop and maintain sophisticated spreadsheets and ancillary programs to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of trading and risk management processes.
• Continuously improve and update tools to meet the evolving needs of the trading and risk management functions.

Requirements

• A master’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Proven experience in structuring and trading OTC derivatives.
• Strong background in risk management, particularly in the context of financial markets and trading activities.
• Experience in multi-commodity trading, particularly within the agricultural sector, is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
• Proficiency in developing and maintaining complex spreadsheets and ancillary programs.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and support cross-functional projects.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with global teams and external consultants.

The Central Trading team is responsible for structuring, pricing and trading exotic OTC structured products across our product portfolio.
