Job description

Job scope

  • Work closely with the departments to develop appropriate procurement strategies/approaches to achieve effective procurement in supporting their operations
  • Prepare quotation and tender documents and manage the quotation and tendering process using electronic procurement systems e.g. GeBIZ and/or internal system(s)
  • Monitor progress of procurement activities to ensure timeliness of procurement and contract implementation
  • Provide support and professional advice to the departments for sourcing, contract management and spend analysis
  • Capture lessons for case study including good practices and irregularities
  • Maintain close surveillance on related market trends and development, cost and performance and its applications to departmenrs
  • Identify appropriate contracts for aggregation and establish them.
  • Develop procurement plans, monitor and manage contract performance, administration and renewal
  • Coordinate procurement audits as required to ensure good governance.
  • Other ad-hoc initiatives and projects may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • Degree with at least 2 years of procurement experience preferably in the Public Sector and knowledgeable on procurement procedures, standards and guidelines specified in the Government Instruction Manual on Procurement, Finance Circulars and prevailing rules and regulations and well versed in GeBIZ applications.
  • Diploma holders with more years of experience can be considered.

  • Location: Stars Avenue; or Irrawaddy Road; or other location as stipulated by company
  • Working Hours: Mon – Thurs : 8:30am – 6:00pm; Friday : 8:30am – 5:30pm (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
