Job Summary:

The Center Engineering Manager is responsible for managing Artificial Lift and Completion Technology Development projects, and for managing the Métier organization. The Center Engineering Manager plays a key role in maintaining and developing the center’s technical expertise.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Deliver all projects within the portfolio on time, within budget and in keeping with the requirements of key stakeholders.
  • Plan and budget resources for product and technology projects, and for the Métier organization.
  • Provide prompt and efficient reporting of activities.
  • Define and develop project management and métier infrastructure.
  • Monitor and control the quality of Product Line and technology deliverables.
  • Manage, coach and mentor managers and métier staff in the Product Line and technology organizations. Direct managers in the areas of scheduling, technical direction, future planning and budgeting.
  • Develop product and technology road maps and develop strategies with input from the business stakeholders and Research.
  • Ensure engineering activities and products comply with applicable standards, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Requirements and skills:

- Master’s in engineering, with a preference in Mechanical Engineering

- Must possess an extensive knowledge of Oil & Gas Artificial Lift and/or Completions products and technology

- More than 10 years of experience in the upstream Oil & Gas industry is required, exposure to Well Production Technology will be a clear plus

- Proven experience in managing technical projects with direct client interaction, including leading technical discussions and presentations

- Expertise in designing and developing new products, from concept to production

- Strong ability to manage and mentor project managers, ensuring successful project delivery

- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across different regions, managing projects with international exposure

- Strong Experience in developing project scopes and objectives, ensuring resource availability and managing project risks

- Patience and ability to work in high-pressure environments

- Outstanding ability to build relationships, negotiate and influence others

- Pro-active leadership with energy, enthusiasm and a passion for excellence

- Effective communicator with the ability to interact at all levels, internally and externally

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent presentation skills and versatile in using multimedia
