Your key responsibilities:

Role Description

This role, being the APAC Lead of Treasury Operations, reports to the APAC Regional Head of MTTO. He/she is a senior SME with regional oversight responsibilities on our outsourced activities and will play a critical key role to ensure the smooth running of RTB activities as well as prompt closure of escalated issues relating to clients and controls. He/she will also represent Treasury Ops function in any new business discussions with relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of vendor arrangements and RTB (Run-the-Bank) activities ensuring performance review updates are meeting agreed KPIs.
  • Acts as an escalation contact and ensures prompt and full closure of issues and client escalations.
  • Drives internal reviews to ensure controls and procedures are updated and fully compliant to all internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Partners with key internal stakeholders within Business and Treasury units to support strategy and policies including new business initiatives.
  • Attends, contributes, or hosts regional and global meetings with key stakeholders in Control, Business, Technology, Change, Compliance functions.
  • Keep abreast of market developments and new regulations that impact treasury operations workflow or activities.
  • Close partnership and engagement with Branch Operations across APAC region to understand the in-country needs and local regulations whenever needed.
  • Builds a good network with global teams to share best practices and/or areas of process optimization.
  • Leads and manages regional and global initiatives as required by Management, including co-ordination of efforts with India DIPL teams and APAC branches to implement operational workflow changes, or system upgrades/enhancements.
  • Conduct regular control meetings with all APAC branches (e.g., breaks' reviews) to ensure appropriate actions are taken and gaps are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Ensure robust resiliency plans are implemented across teams to enable business continuity in case of an unforeseeable event.
Your skills and experience:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Operations, Settlements and/or Payment processing within the banking and financial industry.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Treasury products and funding activities of a global bank
  • Proven knowledge of key controls and appreciation of the risks associated with nostro funding and settlement processing.
  • Minimum a bachelor' degree
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and lead a regional team, with a keen willingness to guide and mentor more junior team members.
  • Possess leadership & people management skills.
  • Self-motivated, independent thinking, and possess the determination and resiliency required to work in a large, complex, and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal communication
  • Proficient in MS excel tools like MS Excel, MS Power Point
Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirements may apply.
