Job Summary:

The Catering Sales Manager functions as the strategic business leader for the department and is responsible in developing and implementing departmental strategies to achieve budgeted revenue goals, guest satisfaction, and financial performance. Ensure a seamless turnover and event execution from sales to operations and back. Managing the team’s day-to-day sales activities with a focus on building long-term value-based partnerships and working closely with the Banquet Operations team in delivering a high level of service.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for generating business for Corporate Meetings, Weddings and Social events to meet personal and the department financial goals
2. Manage sales activities such as enquiries, sales calls, site visits and cold calling to generate potential business leads
3. Maximize sales and upselling/cross-selling opportunities on every confirmed event.
4. Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).
5. Collaborate and communicate with relevant departments to meet guests' requirements to ensure high level of customer satisfaction is achieved through professionalism in all aspects of event delivery
6. Timely and accuracy preparation of Group Resumes, Banquet Event Orders, Internal Reports and Billing
7. Drive Marriott Bonvoy membership to achieve the overall hotel goal
8. Participate in any trade events and projects being assigned on ad-hoc basis
