Role Overview

TheCategory Specialistis the go-to expert for On’s key performance verticals—Performance Running, Trail Running, Tennis, Lifestyle, and Technical Apparel. This role is all about product excellence: optimizing category presentation, educating customers, and ensuring On’s innovations resonate with both Singaporean consumers and international travellers.

This position is primarily based in-store and will follow a rostered shift schedule, including weekends and public holidays. Candidates must be comfortable with retail working hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own category expertise:Maintain deep knowledge of On’s product lines, translating technical features into compelling benefits for a global audience.

  • Optimize product presentation:Work with the merchandising team to ensure On’s footwear and apparel are displayed effectively for both functionality and storytelling.

  • Educate & inspire:Deliver product training to store teams, ensuring they are well-equipped to engage customers with confidence.

  • Analyse sales & trends:Track category performance, identify opportunities for growth, and adapt the assortment based on demand.

  • Support product launches:Coordinate with On’s global merchandising team to ensure smooth product onboarding, seasonal launches, and promotional strategies.

  • Support sales campaigns, in-store activations, and promotions, ensuring they are executed effectively to drive conversion.When needed, engage with customers torecommend the best products, contribute toupselling and cross-selling strategies, and enhance the overall shopping experience.

Job Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in sportswear retail, merchandising, or product management.

  • Strong knowledge of technical performance footwear and apparel.

  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Excel and retail management systems.

  • Understanding of the Singapore performance sportswear market and regional preferences.

  • Experience with premium brand merchandising preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sports marketing, or related field.
