The Role

To develop and implement strategic plans for assigned categories within the framework of a disciplined category management business process so as to achieve the company’s financial goals and objectives, improve market share, customer satisfaction and productivity performance measures for the company.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Achieve category sales, profit and income goals and objectives through developing and implementing strategic business plans for the assigned categories.
  2. Develop, implement, and manage an optimum product mix that focuses on customers’ needs.
  3. Develop and implement promotional plans that bring excitement and incremental sales to the stores.
  4. Develop and implement placement and planogram strategies that improve category turnover and positively influence customer shopping behaviour.
  5. Develop and implement a competitive pricing strategy that delivers value to our customers.
  6. Establish collaborative retailer/supplier relationships to maximise income/terms/discounts to improve sales and profitability of category.
  7. Implement a strong corporate label program in the assigned categories to improve the sales and profitability of the company.
  8. Ensure compliance with the Company’s policies including without limitation the stock ageing & write-off management process while performing and discharging your duties.
  9. Achieve reduction in shrink budget objectives through disciplined buying and inventory management processes.
  10. Participate, communicate, and support a culture of learning, teamwork and sharing internally and externally with the stores, DFI business units in and outside Singapore.
  11. Establish collaborative relationships with licenses and OEM suppliers.
  12. Own the full product development cycle (e.g., Product curation, Design, QC, Freight arrangement, etc.).

Requirements

  1. Diploma holder/university degree in business or marketing or related discipline.
  2. Executive from a customer-centred industry and holds relevant merchandising, marketing and entrepreneurial skills.
