Job Description

We are looking for suitable candidates to join the Partnership team at the Philanthropy Asia Alliance (PAA). The successful candidate will have cross-cutting responsibilities for:

  • member and prospect engagement/stewardship for funding opportunities
  • project development and management in Asia; programme monitoring and evaluation (M&E)
  • strategic partnerships, including cultivating and expanding PAA’s global network of members/donors, knowledge/industry experts and programme partners, to advance best practices and thought leadership in Asian philanthropy.

Responsibilities

The Catalyst, Partnership, will:

  • formulate and implement an integrated project portfolio/partnerships strategy, and actively seek collaboration opportunities with members and partners to mobilize capital towards impactful project outcomes.
  • plan and support strategy implementation to identify, build and deepen new member and partner relationships.
  • work with the team to surface new ideas to secure stakeholder support and collaborations for PAA’s projects and initiatives.
  • be responsible for all aspects of project management and implementation, including impact measurement and reporting.

Requirements

  • Degree in international policy or relevant field
  • A minimum of 10 years’ working experience, with at least five in partnerships and development work in the non-profit sector or in an international development agency
  • Familiarity with Asian development issues, eg climate and health, would be a plus
  • Cross-functional competencies and experience of working in a matrix organisation would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to function effectively as a member of a team, ensuring close coordination and integration with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and analytical skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • High integrity and strong commitment towards impact
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
