Overview
We are representing our client in the Oil and Gas industry to look for a catalogue coordinator to complement the existing team.
Responsibilities
- Support the daily maintenance and update of catalogue master data in relevant systems and tools.
- Assist in documenting and following data management procedures and guidelines.
- Help maintain data structures, such as part classifications and categories, under guidance from senior staff.
- Participate in data cleaning activities, including identifying and reporting inaccuracies or duplicate records.
- Create and update data entries in line with established catalogue standards and templates.
- Check incoming data requests for basic accuracy and completeness, and escalate inconsistencies as needed.
- Perform simple data validation and quality checks under supervision.
- Contribute to tracking and reporting on data quality metrics, as requested.
- Collaborate with other teams (e.g., Maintenance, Procurement, Operations) to understand basic data requirements.
- Coordinate with IT and senior catalogue team members to support catalogue system upkeep.
- Assist in communicating and reinforcing catalogue standards across the organization.
- Support end-user training and onboarding related to catalogue usage and data entry procedures.
- Help monitor catalogue data to identify recurring issues or areas for improvement and raise them to the team.
- Stay informed on basic data governance practices and support their implementation as guided.
- Participate in team activities that help drive data-driven decision-making.
- Prepare routine reports or summaries related to data status or data quality, when requested.
- Perform other administrative or catalogue-related tasks as assigned by the senior staff.
Requirements
- A technical degree or bachelor's degree in supply chain, business administration, engineering, information management, or a related field.
- Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- 1–2 years of experience in data management, procurement support, or supply chain activities.
- Exposure to ERP systems (IFS preferred) and data entry tasks is an advantage.
- Experience in industrial or project-based environments is a plus.
- International and multi-cultural experience will be preferred.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn from senior colleagues and follow established procedures.
- Organized and able to handle repetitive tasks with accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and other business process management tools.
- Understanding of supply chain and procurement processes.
- Familiarity with inventory management concepts is an advantage.
- Awareness of data quality importance and data lifecycle is a plus.
- Understanding of master data management principles, methodologies, and best practices is a plus.
- nderstanding of technical aspects of offshore projects in general and FPSO projects in particular.
- Fluent in English (oral and written).
- Proficiency in Portuguese or French is a plus.
- The position may require travel to other main company locations and project sites.
