Job summary

ST Engineering in Singapore seeks an Engineer, Manufacturing to transform raw materials into high-quality products through planned processes and automation initiatives. The role emphasizes casting and machining, with focus on continuous improvement and new production development.

The successful candidate will plan processes, develop tools, and lead cross-functional efforts to optimise production, reduce costs, and ensure quality across the manufacturing line.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace, or Precision Manufacturing Engineering.
• Diploma in a relevant engineering field with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with CAD/CAM tools and SAP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end engineering development for investment casting processes, including wax pattern injection, shell coating and mold preparation, alloy melting, pouring and solidification control.
• Develop process plans, work instructions, and technical documentation to enable stable production.
• Collaborate with production, QA, and cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Lead new product introduction (NPI) including feasibility studies, cost estimation, process simulation, and tooling reviews.
• Improve manufacturing plant cycle time, yield, and process stability using SPC and SAP data analysis.
