SMW CONSTRUCTION & ENGINEERING is seeking a skilled carpenter to read and interpret drawings, measure, cut, shape and assemble timber components, and construct formwork for concrete structures. The role includes installing doors, frames and fixtures, carrying out interior renovation carpentry such as wardrobes and built‑in furniture, and repairing existing wooden fittings.

You will operate carpentry tools safely, select suitable materials, minimise wastage, and ensure work complies with safety

• Read and interpret construction drawings, measurements and carpentry plans.
• Measure, mark, cut, shape, and assemble timber, plywood, and other carpentry materials.
• Construct, install, and dismantle formwork for concrete works, including columns, beams, walls, and slabs.
• Install doors, door frames, window frames, cabinets, partitions, and other wooden fixtures.
• Carry out interior renovation carpentry works, including wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, shelving, and built-in furniture.
• Repair, adjust, and maintain existing wooden structures and fittings.
• Operate carpentry tools and machinery safely, including saws, drills, hammers, and measuring equipment.
• Select suitable materials and minimise material wastage during carpentry works.
