The Career Conversion Programme (CCP) (Train-and-Place with Commitment to Hire) for Advanced Biopharmaceuticals Manufacturing Executives/Professionals is a talent development programme aimed at building the next generation of skilled manpower for Singapore’s Biopharmaceuticals manufacturing industry in anticipation of hiring demand.


The training programme consists of 15 months of local attachment with GSK. Due to the nature of the programme, we can only consider Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents. For more information, please visit Career Conversion Programmes (CCP) for Individuals.


A certificate will be given to successful trainees upon completion of the programme.


Purpose:

We are looking to provide a learning opportunity for individuals delivering timely, sustainable output for the Technical Services Team. The trainee will work under the supervision of the Technical Services - Utilities & HVAC Systems team, understanding and collaborating with other functions of the Technical Services team in the company to provide appropriate and timely output.


Key Responsibilities:

You will be required to:

  1. Perform daily operation and maintenance of Utility plant and utilities services.
  2. Provide reliable plant utilities services of heating, cooling, steam, and air by involving in operation and maintenance activities on plant facilities and utility systems.
  3. Determine work priorities, schedule repair/maintenance of equipment for plant facilities and utilities services.
  4. Implement and improve preventive maintenance programs by reviewing operations, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics with operational standards / cGMP for plant facilities and utilities services.
  5. Contribute to continuous improvement by providing recommendations and initiatives to promote sustainability.
  6. Actively seek improvements to systems and processes through continuous improvement, streamlining, and simplification.
  7. Provide support to new changes to systems and commissioning activities.
  8. Assess and manage spare parts for Utilities Systems.
  9. Involve in problem-solving sessions to identify root causes of system issues.
  10. Participate in qualification of GMP areas (cleanrooms).

You will be able to learn:

  1. Process Design Learning of Utilities Systems.
  2. HVAC - Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
  3. Clean Utilities (Compressed Gases, Purified Water, Water for Injection & Pure Steam Systems).
  4. Black Utilities Systems (Chillers, Boiler, Air Compressors, Neutralization package).
  5. Spare Part Management & Maintenance Work Order Portfolio in SAP.
  6. Continuous Improvement framework.
Skills:

Business Skills and Competencies

  • Educational background – Mechanical / Chemical Engineering (Diploma)
  • Proficient in IT and software/systems, ideally document management and database systems
