Job description

Career & Alumni Services Officer

Position Description:

Career & Alumni Services department is the primary point of contact between the Industry and the school. The department also serves to enhance students’ employability, making a difference to our students and alumni’s lives.

The Officer can expect to work closely with company representatives across various industries, as well as internal departments and faculty. There will also be frequent meetings with external companies and alumni.

The successful candidate will report to the Manager of Career & Alumni Services.

Duties:

  • Establish networks in various industry sectors, to find prospective companies with employment opportunities for our interns and graduates
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with new and current partners
  • Plan and organize career related activities/ events for current students
  • Oversee different internship processes and onboard internship companies
  • Maintain contact with alumni through a variety of online/ offline platforms
  • Plan and execute alumni engagement activities
  • Comply to accreditation requirements for employment tracking and documentation
  • Derive statistics and analysis from spreadsheets for regular reporting purposes
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree qualification (in any field)
  • Preferably with 1 – 3 years of work experience in educational institutions, or related industry
  • Fresh graduates who can show that they have strong problem solving skills, ability to multi-task and, above all else, willingness to learn are also welcome to apply
  • Great attention to detail, methodical and tenacious
  • Flexible, able to cater to dynamic and different situations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Excel (Pivot Table, Vlookup, filter) and PowerPoint
  • Keen interest in latest ICT trends

Prior experience in any of the following would be helpful:

· Recruitment or talent acquisition in related industry

· Career counselling

· Compliance, particularly in record keeping
