Job summary

National Heart Centre of Singapore Pte Ltd (NHCS) seeks a Research Officer/Associate to advance data science and healthcare analytics in cardiovascular research. Qualifications

• Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Biostatistics, Applied Statistics, or Epidemiology is preferred. Coursework in Computer Science, Data Science, Biology, or a related quantitative field will also be considered.
• Experience with study design and conventional statistical models
• Good understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and/or NLP concepts and algorithms
• Proficiency in Python and R programming languages
• Knowledge of SQL is preferred
• Documented proof of: (i)Measles (or MMR - Mumps, Measles and Rubella) vaccination or serological evidence of measles immunity; and (ii) Tdap vaccination received within the last 10 years, as required for all healthcare workers under the Healthcare Services Act.

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor progress of research projects within NHCS/NHRIS
• Collaborate with data science and IT teams to develop data pipelines
• Perform data mining, cleaning, and quality assurance on large healthcare datasets
• Apply ML, DL, and NLP methods to healthcare data
• Supervise junior researchers and contribute to research collaborations with partners
