Job summary

Standard Chartered is seeking an Associate Director, Carbon Markets Development in Singapore to help originate and execute carbon financing transactions and build the bank’s capability in carbon markets in the region.

You will develop corporate and financial institution carbon market propositions, create marketing collateral, and support onboarding of carbon project developers while collaborating with risk, COO and frontline teams across markets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in financial modelling or analysis.
• Experience with debt and/or equity financing, valuation, financial structuring and return analysis.
• Knowledge of Sustainable Finance, Carbon Markets or related environmental markets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Support buildout of carbon finance propositions for Corporate clients and marketing collateral development.
• Onboard high-potential carbon developers and key ecosystem players in Singapore and other markets.
• Assist origination of carbon finance transactions with a nexus to corporate and FI clients.
• Support due diligence, performance modelling, credit memo input and deal process management.
