Job summary

Aon is seeking a Data Analyst, Captives - Actuarial & Analytic to join its team in Singapore. You will apply analytical precision to prepare, evaluate, and transform insurance and exposure data for risk modelling, partnering with a driven team to deliver insights and solutions for captives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office suites (Excel, Word, PPT, Access) and experience with analytical tools. Python experience preferred; additional programming skills are a plus.
• Experience in data modelling for analytical/reporting systems, with a strong interest in data visualization.
• Ability to use complex computer programs to coordinate, cleanse, and analyze data, and to present information clearly to clients.
• Understanding of financial investment, the influence of risk on investing and profitability, and the capability to interpret financial ratios and company accounts.
• Familiarity with commercial insurance policies/markets and accounting is highly advantageous.
• Understanding of performance guidelines for data and visualization projects.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities, capable of explaining complex model findings to a non-technical audience.
• A great teammate who thrives in a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Gather insurance and exposure information for risk modelling with clients and colleagues.
• Communicate and provide perspectives to assist projects.
• Understand data mapping and transformations for end-to-end data flows.
• Conduct stochastic and deterministic modeling to evaluate risks and deliver valuable insights.
• Assist with captive feasibility studies, placement, and premium allocation models.
• Contribute to task automation to improve efficiency.
• Participate in client conversations to grasp their risk profiles.
• Carry out other pertinent tasks as needed.
