Job summary

PSA Marine (PTE) LTD seeks an experienced Master to assume overall command and responsibility for ship safety, operations, and crew management. You will act as the Company representative, safeguarding interests of both Company and Charterer, with oversight of QHSSE compliance and regulatory adherence.

The role requires holding a Master (Foreign Going) CoC 1 Deck, unlimited and at least 12 months of Master experience.

Qualifications

Master (Foreign Going) CoC 1 Deck, unlimited is required.
Minimum 12 months experience as Master on a vessel.
Strong leadership and safety management capabilities.

Responsibilities

Ultimate responsibility for safety, efficiency, and operations of the ship and personnel.
Act as Company representative, safeguarding interests of Company and Charterer.
Hold overriding authority on QHSSE decisions and ensure compliance with regulations.
Full authority over all onboard personnel and supervision of crew.
Approve operational or maintenance work affecting ship safety with Company authorization.
Prohibit repairs impacting watertight integrity while loaded, except emergencies.
Ensure crew training in emergency procedures within 24 hours of joining.
Maintain vessel stability and ensure cargo is stowed per IMDG code.
Train officers and ratings per STCW and Company policies.
Protect Company's and Charterer's commercial interests; maintain discipline.
Manage ship accounts and custody of certificates and crew documents.
