Job summary

Mediacorp Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a camera operator to provide professional camera work, setup and operation across studio sets and live broadcasts. The role requires agility to adapt to broadcast schedules and events, including OB and studio environments.

The ideal candidate will handle camera systems, lenses and support equipment, work on different modes (pedestals, tracks, tripods, handheld or gimbal) and collaborate with production teams to achieve optimal visuals.

Qualifications

• Nitec in Electronic / Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Film Production.
• Preferably 1 to 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Good working knowledge of camera systems, lenses and camera support equipment; assist in maintaining camera equipment.
• Knowledge in Jibs, Gimbals and Steadi-Camera.
• Able to solve problems on the spot to ensure output quality is not compromised.
• Able to work shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Ensure camera system is set up according to production plan including optical, electronic special effects and autocue system.
• Assist cameraman in performing basic camera work on pedestal, tracks, tripods, handheld or gimbal.
• Work with stakeholders during production to ensure visuals are captured: camera position, techniques and angles of shots.
• Keep up to date with industry filming methods and equipment, receptive to innovative filming methods.
