Job summary

Ming Deng Metrology Services Pte Ltd is seeking Calibration/Technical Services personnel to calibrate or repair equipment across 1–2 disciplines, such as Mechanical, Dimensional, Electrical or Temperature. The role involves setting up precision gauges, inspecting equipment, and completing accurate reports.

The position supports lab work and on-site deployments at customer sites, with emphasis on timely delivery, data accuracy, and adherence to safety and housekeeping practices.

Qualifications

• Understanding of tools used for calibration in at least 1 discipline (Mechanical, Dimensional, Electrical or Temperature)
• Senior positions require Diploma in Engineering (Electronics / Electrical) or related Engineering/Technical areas
• Junior positions require minimum N' Levels or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Calibrate or repair equipment across disciplines as assigned according to timelines.
• Set up and operate precision gauges and instruments to inspect and calibrate equipment.
• Complete calibration or service reports accurately online and on paper reports.
• Discuss recurring difficulties with Supervisor for resolution.
• Work may be in lab or at customer sites as required.
• Participate in process improvements and follow safety and housekeeping rules.

About the role

Technical / Calibration Services role responsible for the calibration or repair of equipment in 1 to 2 disciplines (Dimensional, Mechanical, Electrical or Temperature). Set up and operate a variety of precision gages and instruments to inspect and calibrate equipment to accurate specifications and metrological standards. Work duties may be performed within laboratory environment or on multiple customers' site on same day.

Key responsibilities

1. Technical / Calibration Services

• Responsible for the calibration or repair of equipment (Dimensional, Mechanical, Electrical, Temperature, or others) as assigned according to timeline and deadlines specified.
• Set up and operate a variety of precision gages and instruments to inspect and calibrate equipment
• Ensures all calibration reports or service reports are completed accurately on-line and on the printed reports.
• Perform other similar or related duties and discuss recurring difficulties with Supervisor for resolution.
• Work duties may be performed within laboratory environment or on customers’ site.

2. Process improvements / Quality Control

• Actively participates in discussions with manager to improve calibration procedures with the objectives to improve accuracy and work efficiency for the department.
• Follow all rules pertaining to environmental health and safety.
• Follow good housekeeping practices.
• Adheres to Company’s policy and regulations.

About you

• Demonstrates understanding of tools used for the calibration in at least 1 discipline (Mechanical, Dimensional, Electrical or Temperatures)

• Senior positions: Possess Diploma in Engineering (Electronics / Electrical) or any relevant Engineering/Technical areas

• Junior positions: Minimum of N' Levels or equivalent

• Valid Class 3 Driving License is an advantage

• Proficient in MS Word, Email and Excel and computer systems for capturing accurate data and generating reports

• Customer-Service oriented and understand the urgency or need to meet customer's deadline

• Efficient time management with initiative and wants to improve

• Team-player

• Able to handle physical work and good dexterity especially with repeating calibration procedures

• Direct calibration experience is an advantage

5-day work week, Monday to Friday.

Work trials are available for interested candidates who do not have direct calibration experience, to determine suitability for the role.
