Additional Job Description

Primary Function/Primary Goals/Objectives:

  • Ensure site compliance for calibration policies and procedures.

  • Oversee the use and maintenance of measuring instruments.

  • Support the planning for onsite/offsite calibration with external parties.

  • Comply with the process for managing instrument out of tolerance (OOT) escalations.

  • Review and close out executed calibration work orders in Maximo system.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Review and update procedures to be in compliance with calibration policies.

  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure that their calibration procedures are in compliance with policies.

  • Initiate and close calibration related purchase orders.

  • Work with relevant departments to ensure timely calibration and return of instruments.

  • Initiate and close OOT reports for calibration excursions.

  • Approve new instrument enrollment forms in collaboration with the area owner.

  • Timely review and close out of executed calibration work orders in Maximo system.

  • Provide training for calibration related procedures.

  • Ensure calibration is performed according to the planned budget.

  • Generate and implement ideas as part of continuous improvements.

  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Skills/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering/Mechatronics/Control and Instrumentation or in related discipline

  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in Calibration/E&I/Mechanical role in pharmaceutical/food/petrochemical manufacturing plant.

  • Knowledge in Maximo, SAP systems.

  • Good planning, supervisory, communication skills.

  • Good attention to details.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

  • Familiar with Microsoft applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
