Pathlight School, Singapore's first autism-focused school, is hiring a Café Assistant to enhance our canteen operations. The successful candidate will provide vital support in the daily handling of food services while promoting a dynamic and inclusive environment for our students on the autism spectrum. Pathlight School is the first autism-focused school in Singaporeto offer thenational curriculum together with life readiness skills. It caters to students on the autism spectrum with related conditions, aged 7 to 18 years, who are cognitively able to access national curriculum but require additional support such as smaller class sizes, special accommodations and teaching staff trained in autism.
We are seeking a Café Assistant to support our school canteen/cafe operations.
As an Cafe Assistant, your impact and contribution includes:
Providing support to Outlet Manager/Supervisor in overseeing the daily setup and closing of all the kiosks/kitchens
Leading and ensuring staff are cross-trained for multiple stations to support daily operations
Maintaining a healthy stocklist to ensure products are available for sale by keeping an updated inventory of all food and drinks
Maintaining supplies and ensure proper storage of supplies delivered
Ensuring general cleanliness and hygiene in food prep and storage are in accordance with NEA guidelines
Ensuring general upkeep and maintenance of equipment and appliances
Ensuring proper opening and closing of cash register
Any other duties as required by the Outlet Manager/Supervisor
Team player, able to work effectively in a team
Ability to adapt to diverse people and environment
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and challenging work environment
Strong desire to learn about Autism and the passion to help special needs individuals
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4.30pm
