Job summary

Assembly Studio Pte Ltd is seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to join our interior design practice in Singapore. This full-time role based in Orchard Central Region focuses on translating design concepts into precise technical drawings that underpin construction and project delivery.

You will produce drawings using CAD, revise them with design changes, collaborate with senior designers, manage files and contribute to construction documents, tender drawings, and project coordination.

Qualifications

• Diploma or qualification in interior design or related field.
• Strong CAD skills with AutoCAD, other BIM tools advantageous.
• Solid understanding of architectural drawing conventions and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate architectural drawings (plans, elevations, sections, details) using CAD.
• Convert sketches/design concepts into detailed technical drawings.
• Revise drawings per design changes and client feedback.
• Collaborate with senior designers to ensure drawing accuracy and intent.
• Organise drawing files and version control; produce construction and tender drawings.
• Assist with project coordination and ensure schedules are met.
• Contribute to CAD process improvements and drawing standards.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to join Assembly Studio Pte Ltd, a forward-thinking architectural design practice. This is a full-time position based in the Orchard Central Region. As a CAD Drafter, you will play a vital role in translating interior design concepts into precise, detailed technical drawings that serve as the foundation for construction and project implementation. Your work will directly support our design team and contribute to the successful delivery of innovative architectural projects.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and producing accurate architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections and details using CAD software
• Converting ID sketches and conceptual designs into detailed technical drawings

• Revising and updating drawings in response to design changes and client feedback
• Collaborating with senior designers to clarify design intent and ensure drawing accuracy
• Organising and managing drawing files, documentation and version control
• Producing construction documents and tender drawings ready for contractor use
• Assisting with project coordination and ensuring schedules are met
• Contributing to continuous improvement of drawing standards and CAD processes

What we're looking for

• Professional qualification or diploma in interior design or a related built environment discipline
• Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software, with AutoCAD being essential
• Solid understanding of architectural drawing conventions, standards and building codes
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality technical drawings
• Ability to work from verbal and written instructions and interpret design intent
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Experience with BIM software, additional CAD platforms (such as Revit, SketchUp or Vectorworks) or 3D modelling is advantageous
• Previous experience in an architectural practice or design studio is preferred
