Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Resident Technical Officer to assist with site supervision and resolution of technical issues for a project at NUS. The role requires a Civil Engineering diploma, at least 5 years of experience, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities include overseeing installations, ensuring safety standards, and collaborating with the consultant team to ensure project completion.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ working experience as a Resident Technical Officer.
• Experience in supervision of Mechanical and Electrical installations.
• Preferably with experiences in Institutional/laboratory projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist Job Manager with site technical and design issues.
• Provide supervision and ensure compliance with drawings.
• Resolve site issues and maintain site records.

Job description

Project Location: NUS

Job Description:

• Assist Job Manager to attend to technical and design issues at site and report issues to Job Manager
• Provide standing supervision as and when directed by the Consultant team.
• Check through construction drawings and highlight any discrepancies found between or within the same disciplines prior to the commencement of installation works.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance to approve drawings and specifications.
• Ensure adequate safety precautions are enforced on site.
• Resolve all site issues and ensure timely completion of the project.
• Attend site meetings, site inspections, testing and commissioning.
• Maintain site records.
• Estimated commencement of work in July/Aug 2025.

Job Requirements:

• ITE certificate / Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized tertiary institution.
• Accredited with IES-ACES Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC) with valid RTO Practising Certificate
• Minimum 5 years’ working experience as a Resident Technical Officer.
• Experience in supervision of Mechanical and Electrical installation for laboratory and office projects
• Preferably with experiences in Institutional/laboratory projects.
• Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills.
