An established industry player is seeking a skilled Civil/Structural Engineer to lead site coordination for structural projects. In this dynamic role, you will oversee the submission of shop drawings, maintain drawing registries, and ensure that all parties have access to the latest BIM models. You will also be responsible for managing subcontractors, conducting inspections, and implementing quality control measures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects in a collaborative environment, ensuring that all work is executed safely and in accordance with design specifications.
Job Responsibilities:
To lead site coordination relating to structural works of the project.
In charge for submission of shop drawing / materials details / MOS related to structural works.
To maintain drawing registry and ensure latest drawings / BIM models are available for all parties involved (site staff, CTD, suppliers and subcontractors).
To issue transmittal forms / emails for latest drawings / BIM models when issued to CTD, suppliers and subcontractors.
To study drawings / specifications in identifying discrepancies and issue queries to consultants accordingly via RFI.
Ensure BIM team update the drawings / BIM Model with the latest information available timely.
Prepare as-built drawings / BIM Model and compile O&M Manual for submission.
To ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and PE design.
Planning of structural works and preparing micro schedules.
Manage subcontractors to ensure quality and scope of work is as per drawings, specifications and design.
To conduct pre-inspection with subcontractors prior to calling for RE/RTO inspections.
Liaise with RE / RTO for necessary inspections.
Responsible for all structural inspection activities on site.
Coordinate the structural works with other disciplines.
Liaise with sub-contractors, suppliers, testing labs, etc.
To coordinate and monitor material testing.
Implement quality control measures for structural works and ensure In-process Quality Control measures are in place.
Procurement and monitoring of structure related materials.
Monitor and control rebar and concrete usage on site.
Monitor and control material wastage.
To identify and record events and activities including but not limited to event that may lead to variations.
To prepare and issue back charges promptly.
Ensure work activities are carried out in a safe working environment.
To update structural progress promptly.
In charge for structural matters related to CONQUAS assessments / submissions.
Upon the completion of structural works, assume roles in Architectural works, External Works, M&E works as directed by the PM.
Attend client, consultants and sub-con meetings as requested by PM. Take minutes of meetings.
Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor/ management.
Job Requirements:
Degree in Civil or Structural engineering recognized by the PE Board.
Able to manage group of supervisors.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and knowledge of BIM.
