Job description

Job Summary (General Nature / Objectives of the Job):
The C&S Design Coordinator is responsible for coordinating civil and structural (C&S) design aspects of construction projects, ensuring that designs meet project requirements, regulatory standards, and are successfully integrated into the overall construction plan. They liaise between design teams, consultants, and construction personnel to resolve design-related issues and ensure smooth project execution.


Key Responsibilities and Activities:

  1. Coordinate C&S designs and ensure compliance with project specifications and local regulations.
  2. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment between C&S designs and other disciplines.
  3. Review and provide input on civil and structural design drawings and documentation.
  4. Resolve design issues during construction and provide technical support to the site team.
  5. Ensure the integration of C&S designs with the architectural and M&E (mechanical & electrical) systems.
  6. Conduct design coordination meetings with consultants and project stakeholders.
  7. Monitor design progress to ensure timely delivery of drawings and documents for construction stages.
  8. Ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards in civil and structural design implementations.
  9. Prepare reports and updates on C&S design progress for project management.

Formal Education:

  1. Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related disciplines.

Experience Required:

  1. Over 5 years of experience in civil and structural design coordination, preferably on large-scale construction projects.
  2. Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams and coordinating between design and construction teams.
