A leading aerospace company is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee procurement and project management. This role entails developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with purchasing policies. Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain and significant experience in project management and materials procurement. The position demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication to drive performance improvements within the supply chain.
Core Responsibilities:
To develop and automate purchasing related reports and data analysis.
Be the pivotal point of contact on behalf of Supply Chain for project management. Provide advice and monitor of projects end to end Supply Chain and provide on-time deliverables.
PO generation for projects as well as portfolio related POs and ensure Supplier On-Time in Full.
To identify potential project risks through regular engagement with suppliers, develop and implement procurement strategies and plans in line with company goals and objectives.
Initiate supply contract in line with company objectives focusing on favourable commercial terms to enhance profitability and to minimize inflation impact.
Develop closed-loop feedback and implement actions on Supplier Performances for key/ critical suppliers.
To source and procure materials in the most cost and time efficient manner to meet organisation needs.
Ensure compliance of the company standards on purchasing policies and procedures.
Plan and coordinate timely delivery of purchases to meet organisation on time delivery requirements.
Maintain database for materials, vendors, prices & expenditures.
Responsible to drive and initiate continuous improvement activities in cost, lead time, commercial terms and supply performance without compromising the overall quality.
Participate in material review and ensure material issues are elevated and resolved in a timely manner.
Work closely with Suppliers and cross-functional teams including engineering, production, quality, and finance etc
Drive actions and lead at least 2 key performance indicators.
To perform any other duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor from time to time.
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience in project management, materials procurement and strategic sourcing in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
At least 3 years of Power Automate, Power BI, Word, Excel and Powerpoint hands-on experience.
Sound understanding on the concept of demand and supply and related actions to be taken to impact bottom line and inventory.
Self-initiated and the ability to prepare and present clearly on the necessary information for proposing an idea/ potential solution when a problem is encountered.
General understanding of metal commodity price trends will be an advantage.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally.
High attention to details.
Organised and ability to follow through from sourcing to delivery.
Pro-active, results oriented and self-driven.
Able to work independently and make sound decision based on data.
Possess experience of at least 5 years in using SAP/ Oracle or other ERP Systems and the application of material planning parameters and their impact.
Understanding of machining processes and secondary (heat treatment, coating, welding, etc…) processes would be an advantage.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or equivalent.
