Job description

Key Responsibilities
Investment Analysis & Portfolio Support
  • Conduct in-depth analysis on potential investment opportunities, including market trends, risk-return profiles, and financial modeling.
  • Monitor existing investment portfolios, generate performance reports, and track returns against benchmarks.
  • Assist in developing investment strategies aligned with corporate financial goals.
  • Research and provide insights on macroeconomic factors, industry developments, and emerging risks/opportunities.
  • Prepare investment briefs, presentations, and recommendation papers for management decision-making.
  • Liaise with fund managers, brokers, and other financial institutions as needed.
Financial Accounting & Reporting
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate and timely financial entries.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial reports such as P&L statements, cash flow reports, and management dashboards.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS or GAAP), tax regulations, and internal policies.
  • Assist with statutory audits and internal audits, providing required schedules and documentation.
Process Improvement & System Support
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.
  • Assist in system enhancements, ERP upgrades, or automation projects related to finance functions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of accounting procedures and internal controls.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis, investment support, and/or accounting roles.
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments, investment strategies, and accounting principles.
  • Proficient in Excel (including advanced functions), financial modeling, and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing and stakeholder presentations.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CFA, or CIMA is preferred but not mandatory.
