Business Risk Manager - Risk and Control (Vice President)

This position within the Chief Operating Office - Business Risk Management, Risk & Control team partners with stakeholders to ensure the integration of operational risk management and information security risk frameworks across the COO, Investment Solutions Group (ISG), and Chief Investment Office (CIO) units. Responsibilities include reviewing, supporting, advising on controls, liaising for audits, and promoting risk awareness among staff.

This role reports to the Team Head, COO Business Risk Management - Risk & Control, under the COO Business Risk Management unit, focusing on consolidating and leading risk and controls frameworks for the COO, ISG, and CIO.

Main duties

  1. Strengthen operational risk and information security governance by supporting COO, ISG, and CIO stakeholders in managing risks systematically.
  2. Guide stakeholders on operational and information risk issues, including risk events, assessments, business continuity, data policies, third-party risks, and physical security.
  3. Investigate operational losses and risk topics independently, collaborating with impacted parties to identify weaknesses and develop preventive actions.
  4. Analyze risk data to identify risk areas and evaluate mitigation effectiveness.
  5. Promote risk awareness and provide advisory support to business units.
  6. Coordinate interactions with Group Audit and other reviewers, ensuring timely responses.
  7. Lead and support risk & control projects aligned with Group ORM and overall risk scope.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum 10 years of experience in a financial institution, with at least 5 years managing operational risk, information security, or technology risk in private banking.
  2. Knowledge of banking products and operations is preferred.
  3. Management or supervisory experience is advantageous.
  4. High integrity, independence, adaptability, and initiative.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; VBA, Power BI, or data visualization skills are a plus.
  6. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders effectively.
  7. Ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment and proactively resolve issues.
