Job Description
The Position
As part of bigger Asia Pacific Cluster, SHIP Sub-Cluster was created to focus on emerging markets such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia and the Philippines. The SHIP Sub-Cluster will have a separate Commercial Leadership Team comprising but not limited to the SHIP Commercial Leader and the local market Leads under SHIP. Under the SHIP Sub-Cluster, there will be Business Practice Lead (BP) – SHIP Sub-Cluster Lead, which will manage the Singapore & Hong Kong markets and a Business Practice Senior Specialist, who will be focused on handling the Indonesia and the Philippines market under SHIP Sub-Cluster.
The BPM, SHIP Sub-Cluster leads the Compliance, Privacy and Business Practices direction, localization, implementation, and reporting of the markets under SHIP Sub-Cluster. The BPM, SHIP will be a strong business partner & part of the SHIP’s Commercial Leadership Team and will directly report to the SHIP Commercial Lead.
The BPM SHIP supports the execution of compliance, privacy and business practice operations of the Singapore and Hong Kong markets. Under his /her leadership, provide directional support to BP SHIP Senior Specialist, overseeing Indonesia and the Philippines business practice, compliance and Privacy business practice operations.
The BPM SHIP position works with the rest of the bigger AP Cluster BPO Community of Practice, legal, regional compliance and local SHIP commercial leadership team to develop and execute compliance and risk management programs or action plans, including local implementation of tools/ systems to support controls, training and communication, and monitoring of key risk indicators at the market level to establish or maintain a strong compliance culture and infrastructure within SHIP Sub-Cluster markets.
Responsibilities
Primary Activities and Responsibilities include but are not limited to business practice & compliance operations of Singapore & Hongkong and other SHIP Sub- Cluster Markets (Philippines & Indonesia):
Expert Guidance:
Partner with Singapore, Hong Kong & SHIP Sub-Cluster leadership team in providing operational guidance within the Organon’s code of conduct and business policies to ensure commercial initiatives are executed within the business compliance framework, privacy and ethical standards,
Lead and coordinate the Singapore & Hongkong Country Compliance Committee process; and provide direction to markets under SHIP Sub-Cluster
Sense and health-check the operations’ compliance culture and infrastructure and report any significant compliance concerns or issues through the appropriate channels, making appropriate recommendations in relation to corrective actions to be taken.
Collaborative Leadership:
As risk management professional with strong collaborative & entrepreneurial mindset, will serve as strong business partner to SHIP Commercial Lead (& SHIP market leads) ensure strategies are executed within the business compliance framework.
Provide leadership & directional support to BP Specialist, Philippines & Indonesia.
Partner with Finance to ensure adherence to financial controls in relation to HCP / HCO engagements.
Key partner in ensuring annual achievement of local management compliance certification.
Ethical Advocacy:
Champion Organon's Values and Standards, Corporate Policies, and Compliance Policies, fostering awareness and adherence throughout theSHIP markets;
Compliance Framework Enhancement:
Contribute to the implementation of evolving compliance frameworks, collaborating with AP Cluster BPM community of practice, Legal & Compliance, where applicable, tooptimizesustainable complianceprograms.
Review and continually simplify and streamline policies and procedures, integrating compliance controls into normal business activities and procedures to help achieve continued compliance and adherence to policy;
Policy Oversight:
Localise and implement global policies and or procedures as they are rolled out - (e.g. Anti Bribery & Corruption & Privacy)
Monitor and conduct regular self-audits of systems and processes (e.g. Insight, ABC tool, ARAVO/ABaC, Events, Privacy Inventory, etc.) to identify gaps, and ensure follow up with the business of required actions and documentation;
Consistent Compliance Standards:
Lead the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) process of markets under SHIP Sub-Cluster.
Implementation of Key Commercial Anti Bribery, Privacy Compliance & Business Practice Processes and Systems (e.g. ABC, ARAVO Due Diligence, OCR / DPS; PULSE monitoring, Privacy systems, etc.).
Monitoring and Reporting:
L2G/training management system follow-up to ensure overall adherence to timelines, including re-enforcement of compliance trainings to Singapore, Hongkong & SHIP leadership and markets under the Sub-Cluster;
Understand local market compliance & privacy reporting requirements and support in providing SHIP leadership team with framework for adherence (i.e. transparency reporting);
Establish or maintain other compliance processes or systems to ensure tracking and compilation of actions and documentation of other control or risk management requirements related to FCPA and Privacy considerations;
Conduct or oversee the Compliance day-to-day Business Support Activities (e.g. Event reviews; ABC activities, ARAVO Red Flag identification & support, etc.) for Singapore and Hong Kong’s commercial operations
Support Compliance Scorecard achievement through monitoring and follow up of KPIs;
Prepare regular monitoring reports for Country Compliance Committee;
Change Management:
Manage implementation of policy changes, conduct review sessions, andfacilitatecommunication and training to ensure seamless integration and operation,
Support global/regional compliance system implementation as data source liaison (e.g. ABC tool; Pulse; ARAVO/ABaC, PULSE, Privacy systems, etc.) with assistance with other functional teams (i.e. Procurement, IT, etc).
Audit and Risk Management Support:
As needed, act as market lead for relevant Company or other Audit programs and Risk Assessment processes,
Support audit and Privacy Annual Certification remediation follow-up to ensure audit findings are resolved in a timely way and effective controls established;
Provide support on any Integrity Action Line, as appropriate and when called for.

Monitoring & Reporting
Periodically review local monitoring/control processes for risk areas;
Coordinate pre-audit and audit activity; follow up remediation actions post-audit;
Coordinate SHIP markets local compliance reporting requirements (where applicable) & audit activities.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
A Bachelor’s degree required, Audit, Finance, Compliance, Legal, or comparable business experience in healthcare industry.
Certified Auditor, or alternative certification, MBA, a plus
Significant professional experience relating to the main aspects of the role (or at least 8 years experience),
A proven track record working on compliance program monitoring assessment and improvement
Understanding of the medical industry, especially pharmaceuticals or medical devices is preferred
Commercial Operations experience is a PLUS
Sales or marketing experience is a PLUS,
Audit background (desired)
Substantial experience in business counselling or training
Business Process background
Excellent Oral, Written Communication & Presentation Skills in English
Knowledge of and passion for ethical conduct and compliance
